The Microlux transilluminator provides a focused beam of cool white light for use in clinical diagnosis of caries, calculus, and crown fractures and root canal orifice on posterior teeth. The light is powered by a high intensity light emmitting diode (LED) and transmitted through a focused glass fiber optic element. The Microlux can greatly improve oral diagnosis without additional x-rays.
