the PowerLase weighs less than 34 pounds and measures only 9.4” W x 14” H x 18.5” L. Designed to cut and coagulate soft tissue in the mouth, the PowerLase system delivers pulsed laser energy to the treatment site of up to 6 watts delivering a maximum energy per pulse of 200 mJ at 30Hz.
The laser wavelength is 1064nm, which is invisible light in the near infrared spectrum.
The PowerLase is compact, portable, self-contained, and fits easily on a counter top. With its built-in handle or optional cart, it may also be transported between operatories with ease. The PowerLase features short pulse duration and long pulse duration modes of operation. The unit consists of a console, fiber-optic cable, handpiece, and footswitch. Special safety eyewear is included.
