EmdogainGel is a resorbable, implantable material, which consists of hydrophobic enamel matrix proteins premixed with the vehicle solution, Propylene Glycol Alginate. It is intended as an adjunct to periodontal surgery for topical application onto exposed root surfaces to treat intrabony defects and furcations* due to moderate or severe periodontitis. After a single gel application, EmdogainGel leaves only a resorbable protein matrix on the root surface.
